Our Lady and St Swithin’s Catholic Primary School serves the parish of Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs. There has been a Catholic school at Croxteth since 1840, when the foundation stone was laid by the 3rd Earl of Sefton. Those school buildings remained here until 1953 when the present building was erected. The infant classrooms and the separate Nursery building were added later.
